AI policy: WordPress native

AI is optional, and it never acts alone

Strive uses the AI provider connected to WordPress. There is no Strive-hosted AI service and no credit meter.

  • Strive remains useful without AI.
  • Strive never asks you to paste provider API keys into the plugin.
  • AI features use the native WordPress AI connection and require WordPress 7.0 or later plus a compatible configured provider.
  • Article content is sent only when an authorised user explicitly runs an eligible AI action.
  • Private editorial notes are excluded from AI prompts.
  • AI output is a proposal, not an automatic publication decision.
  • A failed AI request leaves content, status, schedule and publication state unchanged.

Scope

What Strive covers

Strive manages built-in WordPress Posts/articles. It is not a rank tracker, keyword-volume tool, backlink crawler or autonomous content generator.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Strive a plugin or its own app?

Strive is a WordPress plugin. Your editorial data stays in WordPress and there is no Strive-hosted SaaS.

What is the difference between Lite and Pro?

Lite covers planning and review: calendar, pipeline, editorial statuses, checklists, notes and Local Editorial Readiness. Pro adds safe article revisions, enhanced readiness, guided fixes, editorial briefs, internal-link opportunities and Refresh Radar.

Is Lite really free forever?

Yes. Lite has no license key, no account requirement and no expiry.

Is there a free version of Pro?

No. Pro is a paid upgrade from $9/month. Strive Calendar Lite stays free forever if you only need planning and review.

Does upgrading to Pro lose my data?

No. Pro replaces Lite on activation and preserves your existing calendar, statuses, checklists and notes.

What happens when a Pro entitlement expires?

Pro execution requires an active paid Pro license. Your editorial content and metadata remain in WordPress.

Do Pro AI features cost extra?

Strive does not sell AI credits and does not host an AI service. AI-assisted actions use the provider connected to WordPress, which requires WordPress 7.0 or later.

Will I get plugin updates?

Yes. Updates appear in your WordPress Plugins screen. Pro updates require an active subscription.

How do I manage my license or billing?

Sign in to your account at users.freemius.com to manage licenses, invoices and subscription status.
