The content calendar is an awesome way to visualize your publishing schedule, but it does have one flaw…
The calendar only shows you your scheduled and published posts. This makes it great for planning, but it doesn’t give you the full picture of your drafts.
And that’s why Strive includes the Pipeline.
What is the content Pipeline?
The Pipeline gives you an organized view of all drafts on your site, both scheduled and unscheduled.
All post drafts are organized into columns based on their editorial status, and you can toggle the layout between columns and rows with the buttons up top.
With a quick glance at the Pipeline, you can get an idea of how your content production is progressing. You can easily catch posts that have been forgotten and haven’t been scheduled yet.
You can also tell if you need to brainstorm more post ideas or if you have enough ready in the Not Started column to work on next.
Every post displays its title and author, and if it’s scheduled, it will also display the upcoming publication date.
If you find a post you want to edit, you can click anywhere on it to open it in a new tab.
Overall, the Pipeline is a very simple tool, but highly effective for spotting missed posts and bottlenecks in your creation process.
